My grandmother didn’t like these trees because she was allergic. For whatever reason, I remember her telling me that when I was a kid. I grew up in the state of Georgia and to me, they were magical. I still love them…even if they’re invasive. They look straight out of a Seuss book to me.
The form on this one is gorgeous. Very mid-century modern, Tom Collins-ish shape.
